A Letter from the Publisher
October 30, 2006
Dear Supporter of CTC Board Railroads Illustrated:
On August 29, 2006, Hundman Publishing and White River
Productions came to an agreement in which CTC Board Railroads Illustrated
was transferred to White River Productions. Hundman ceased publishing CTC
Board with the June 2006 issue. The final agreement was signed in early
October.
After brief deliberations, WRP decided to change the name of
the magazine to Railroads Illustrated (RRI), and that the previous
editor would not continue with RRI. On October 26, WRP
announced that Cinthia Priest was to be the Editor of RRI. She has been
involved in railroad writing and publishing for 18 years and in the
production of 14 books for Paired Rail Railroad Publications (PRRP). All
editorial material should be sent to Cinthia at:

FTP: www.prrpftp.com -- easy, web-based ftp upload only for article and
digital image submissions (no file size limitations). Contact Stephen or
Cinthia at PRRP for instructions on uploading images and files to the RRI
FTP site.
We are actively seeking submissions for RRI. Details on
submitting material can be found at whiteriverproductions.com under
"Submittal Guide." We look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Any publishing-related questions for me (Publisher Kevin EuDaly) can be
directed to 660-695-4433. An item of note is the return of the current news
to the magazine. We are currently assembling the team for that effort. All
contributors who wish payment for items published will be compensated with
subscriptions to Passenger Train Journal or RRI, other WRP products, or by
check.
Material submitted in the past to the previous editors is not
currently in White River Productions' possession. Dale Sanders forwarded
everything from before June 2005 to Editor Paul Schneider. Paul has stated:
"...feature stories and photos returned to contributors per their request."
If you have not received your material back or are wondering
about its status, please contact Paul. Please note Paul Schneider does not
represent White River Productions. We are interested in all past
submissions. Anything already sent to White River Productions in the
Bucklin, Missouri, offices will be forwarded to Cinthia in Kansas City,
including all the Day in North America submissions to date. As many of you
know, the White River team logs and scans all material quickly and returns
original material to the owners, usually within a couple of weeks.
All magazine subscriptions will be advanced appropriately
once production begins. The label on this envelope indicates your last issue
according to Hundman records. The last issue Hundman printed was June, 2006.
So, for example, if your label says "Oct 2006" as your last issue, we still
owe you four issues (July, August, September, and October). If we start with
the February 2007 issue, you would get the February, March, April, and May
issues. Nadean EuDaly is handling all subscriptions and subscription inquiries,
and can be emailed at
subs@whiteriverproductions.com.
I apologize for any inconvenience during this transition
time, but am confident that a revitalized Railroads Illustrated will
be revealed in the near future. I believe the future is bright for Railroads
Illustrated and for those who look for the best in railroad articles and
photography. Thanks for your patience while we look to the future.
Sincerely Yours,
Kevin EuDaly, President
White River Productions, Inc.
